Duleek Boys National School

We have been very busy in Ms. Mulvey’s class learning all about the Aztecs. The boys were divided into groups and given a project to complete. The topics they were told to cover were: Aztec Settlement, Aztec Children, Gods and Goddesses, Food and Drink and the End of the Aztec Empire. The boys worked very hard to finish their projects and showed excellent teamwork too. We also completed some Aztec-inspired artwork. We did a mosaic style double-headed serpent, a symbol from Aztec times. One of the boys even made a fantastic model of an Aztec settlement. I am so impressed with the work the boys have put in to this month’s work, well done boys!!!

Congratulations to Seán Dunne for receiving Fridays student of the week award. Seán was given the award for getting all his spellings correct, being kind to others and for excellent work in maths class when we were learning about money. Maith thú Seán

Also, this week we had a special award, which was given to Ewan Clinton for excellent independant working in maths. Maith thú Ewan!
